Songs I Love

Here are many songs that speak to me... make me cry... comfort me... through my heartbreak.

Karen Taylor Good's "Precious Child"
I had never heard this song prior to losing my girls. I stumbled upon it on someone's support blog and it completely breaks my heart.

Selah's "I Will Carry You"
I absolutely love the lyrics and melody of this song... I will ALWAYS carry my Mariah & Juliette with me. XO

Gerrit Hoffink's "Still"
Another sweet, sad song I have discovered since losing my babies.
"Sometimes I find myself wondering what to do
With this pain that I’m going through
But I know one day, God will take me away
And I’m coming home to you"

Josh Groban's "To Where You Are"
I am a Josh Groban fan and have always loved this song... it holds a much deeper meaning to me now that I have lost my sweet angels.

My Mariah's song... "They Call the Wind Mariah"
I have loved this song since I was little because my Dad used to play his Paint Your Wagon record frequently. When my husband expressed his liking of the name Mariah for one of our girls I felt an immediate connection and quickly agreed! Though I now cry when I listen to the song, I hope that some day in the future it will bring a smile to my face again.

James Blunt's "You're Beautiful"
My husband and I really liked this song when it first came out. It was so overplayed for a while that we stopped listening to it as much. Now I find I interpret the song a bit differently than James Blunt intended and it makes me think of my beautiful Juliette.

The Williams Brother's "Can't Cry Hard Enough"
This used to be my go-to cry song in high school... now my heart breaks and the tears flow when they sing "And now that you're gone, I can't cry hard enough" because never have words been so true for me.

Diamond Rio's "I Believe"
I have always thought this was a beautiful song and I find it even more beautiful now.

Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years"

My Mom introduced me to this song shortly after the death of my girls and I haven't been able to stop listening to it.

Michael Jackson's "Gone Too Soon"
MJ is my favorite singer of all time and I feel like he is singing about my girls in this song.

Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day"
This song brings me to tears almost every time I listen to it.

Avril Lavigne's "Slipped Away"
"The day you slipped away, was the day I found it won't be the same"... never again.

Escape Club's "I'll Be There"
An old favorite of mine that I find myself drawn to and listening to often.
